Summary: Excellent Comment: Couldn't ask for anything more. Very easy to put vent in window and take out. Roll it anywhere. Very effective and efficient. All features work as promised.

Summary: Staying cool in the summer Comment: I think this is possibly the best A/C unit on the market. It arrived in less that 10 days which was a plus in the summer...and everything has been working well from the start. The only issue I have with this unit is the drain valve. It would be nice to have a drain valve that is higher up on the unit so that a hose could be attached and also drain out the window that the exhaust is going out.

Summary: Maybe a bad one, but doesn't cool very well Comment: Ordered this because of the great capacity (11,500 BTU) but was disappointed when I finally had to use it. Purchased it late 2009 but didn't need it until summer 2010. Probably should have hooked it up and tried it right away, but didn't.
Fan works great but the unit doesn't get cold at all, just blows air that is a little bit cooler than the room. I checked all the setting and read the manual so pretty sure it's not pilot error.
Went to Costco and got a Sharp unit for less that works great. I'd send this back but too late so I'm stuck. Don't buy this unit, it doesn't work.

Summary: Do not buy this piece of junk Comment: I own this air conditioner for two years.
I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about.
It is VERY loud, it not efficient at all. It's not Energy Star, it does not properly cool down my 20' x 10' room.
Very cheap construction.
I bought it just because, being a Friedrich, I thought it had to be good but this is so far from being the truth.
There are so many good items around that, next time I will definitely avoid this brand.
Shame on Friedrich.
