Summary: problem with accordian side panels Comment: I've been pleased with the cooling and the various options. However, the accordian side panels don't snap into place but needed to be taped to stay shut (to ensure I don't cool the outdoors, let hot air in the house..or bugs, etc.). Only after I carefully taped the sides, did I then realize that due to the vibrations, my taping job wasn't strong enough. So I used more tape, taping the side panels to the window frame instead of just to the air conditioner. The cats then proceeded to try to rip it off. Finally, I covered the side panels with cardboard using lots of tape in all areas. Since I went to all this extra trouble I realized too late I should have gone ahead and used some insulation between the panels and the cardboard.

Summary: Cool Comment: The A/c's are a great buy and a jewel for their abiliy to cool. The only problem was with the installation due to a bent expansion guide that was damaged in shipping. Other wise, all is "Cool"

Summary: Pleasantly surprised Comment: I was nervous to buy a window unit because after reading all the reviews on Amazon I expected to plug it in and have it not work, sound like a tank, drip everywhere, etc. At first I thought my nightmare had come true (I really didn't want to have to deal with shipping it back) because when I first turned it on, it wasn't working. But I opened it up and found that inside, one of the fan blades was wedged up against some of the metal piping inside. I pushed the pipes aside about an inch and freed the blades. Now it works like a charm.
I really like the unit. It sounds like an air conditioner; the noise is a perfectly sensible hum/rush. Air is cold. Remote control is a nice plus. Easy to install. Good stuff.

Summary: Frigidaire FAA0675P7A 6000btu A/C Great Buy Comment: Frigidaire FAA0675P7A 6000btu A/C was a great buy and is working extremely well in temperatures over 100f. It is quiet and the auto Energy saver mode (no compressor or fan working) is great keeping the room cool without excessive power usage. Overall Im very happy with my choice (which I researched before purchase) but please note that this model is either window or wall installation. If mounting in wall as I have you will need more knowledge and materials to do so. Wall mounting not too difficult if you are a handy man as you may need to build a frame (sleeve)to hold unit in place as well as cutting hole. Window mounting appears to be quite simple with necessary parts and instructions supplied.

Summary: Frigidaire air conditioner Comment: Quality and apperance of airconditioner seems good. Packing in box allowed the retaining rail to be bent on on both units which I bought. Otherwise it seems to work fine and was a good buy. Remote control is nice.
