Ideal for rooms up to 420 square feet, this portable air conditioner features a 13,000-BTU cooling capacity with an energy-efficiency rating of 12.14. It also provides a UV germicidal light (UV-C), which effectively destroys microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts, molds, and viruses, to help create cleaner, more breathable indoor air--an exceptionally nice choice for asthma sufferers or anyone living with allergies. In addition to cooler, cleaner air, the unit dehumidifies, removing up to 46-2/5 liters of excess moisture from the air per day. During the cooling process, its self-evaporating system extracts water from the air, most of which gets recycled and used to cool the cooling coils for more efficient operation. The air conditioner offers three fan speeds, digital thermostat control, a digital temperature display, and a handy remote control, as well as dual washable air filters to trap dust particles and dual activated carbon filters to remove odors. Choose between ongoing operation or the programmable timer, which can be preset up to 24 hours. The unit also provides a built-in water tank, an optional extended water tube for continuous drainage, automatic restart after a power failure, and an easy-grip handle and large casters for convenient transport. Other highlights include a UL-required LCDI plug, fire-resistant PVC plastic housing, a rotary compressor, directional air-discharge louvers, and an extendable exhaust hose (up to 5 feet). The unit weighs 86 pounds and requires exhaust hose installation (all standard accessories included). The ETL-approved air conditioner measures 20 by 14 by 30-1/4 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
